Guild of St. Agnes

Case study

Advancing Sustainability and Cost Savings

With the help of PowerOptions’ Energy Efficiency Program, the Guild replaced outdated fluorescent lighting with high-efficiency LED fixtures, dramatically reducing its energy consumption and long-term maintenance costs. LED technology consumes significantly less energy while providing the same or better light quality, translating into lower electricity bills and a reduced carbon footprint. Additionally, LEDs last significantly longer than traditional lighting, minimizing replacement and maintenance costs.

Over ten years, the Gardner location will realize total energy and maintenance savings of $63,720, freeing up resources for the Guild’s core mission while significantly cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

With projected energy and maintenance savings of $84,600 over ten years, the Worcester project delivers an even higher return on investment, further reinforcing the financial and environmental benefits of energy efficiency upgrades.

A Commitment to Sustainability and Financial Stewardship

By implementing these projects, the Guild of St. Agnes is not only reducing its environmental impact but also strengthening its financial sustainability. The significant cost savings from reduced energy consumption allow the organization to allocate more resources toward its mission of serving children and families.

"Upgrading our lighting was a big step forward in creating a more energy-efficient and cost-effective environment for our staff and the children we serve. Working through PowerOptions made the process simple and affordable—we were able to access vetted vendors, take advantage of incentives, and move forward with confidence knowing we were in good hands."
