- Warmer-than-normal weather is projected for the eastern three-fourths of the nation from October 24 - 30. Both NOAA and Constellation are projecting a warmer-than-normal winter for the Northeast. Hurricane Milton has caused significant demand destruction.
- The EIA announced for the 14th week in a row a storage surplus reducing injection. The continuing drop in the surplus increases the likelihood that the winter create a deficit in storage relative to the five-year average.
- Demand destruction reduced natural gas commodity prices this past week, but the reduced natural gas surplus will be felt when the cold weather arrives.
- New England basis dropped as crude oil prices fell this past week.
- Wholesale power prices follow movements in the natural gas commodity and natural gas transportation prices.
