• On Friday, March 10th, ISO-NE announced the results of its most Forward Capacity Auction for the power year June 2026 - May 2027.
  • The capacity price for WCMA and CT was unchanged at $2.591 KW/month while the capacity price for NEMA, SEMA, and RI dropped from last year at $2.639 KW/month to $2.591 KW/month. These new capacity charges will not take effect until June 2026 - May 2027.
  • The 12-month average natural gas price as well as the 12-month natural gas price fell $0.20/MMBtu. Wholesale power followed delivered natural gas prices lower by $250/MWh from last week.
  • The colder-than-normal outlook that NOAA projected last week is now concentrated in the Western half of the U.S. for March 23rd - 29th.
  • The EIA announced a 58 Bcf withdrawal from storage for the week ending March 10th. The withdrawal was 19 Bcf lower than the five-year average and 6 Bcf lower than expectations.
