- Summer's outlook and forecast are still predicting a hot summer.
- LNG export facilities shut-in during Hurricane Beryl which has left extra supply in the market. This past week was the first week the injection exceeded the five-year average in the last five weeks.
- The natural gas commodity has fallen on higher natural gas production and lower LNG exports. Hot weather will continue to prevent prices from falling rapidly, but there is not much upward pressure on prices at the moment.
- Slightly lower European LNG prices were reflected in slightly lower natural gas transportation basis this week.
- Wholesale power prices follow movements in the natural gas commodity and natural gas transportation prices.
