Implementation Services
From Planning to Implementation
PowerOptions has done the procurement, so you don't have to. Access vetted vendors, pre-negotiated contracts, and two financing pathways — all backed by our team's hands-on guidance.

Two Paths to Implementation
PowerOptions offers Building Decarbonization as a Service (BDaaS) and Owner-Financed Building Decarbonization (OBD). Both pathways use the same foundation: competitively selected vendors, PowerOptions-negotiated contract terms, open-book pricing with profit caps, and turnkey project delivery. Explore both before committing. Mixed ownership models are fully supported.

OBD vs. BDaaS at a Glance
~$500K+, medium-to-large buildings (10,000+ sq ft), portfolios, campus settings
Owner-financed Building Decarbonization (OBD)
Fund your project directly and capture all savings andincentives from day one. Our fastest path — weeks to months from decision to installation.
This solution is best for Members with smaller buildings and/or a simple project scope, tight timelines, and capital available to fund decarbonization.

Building Decarbonization as a Service (BDaaS)
Achieve decarbonization outcomes with little or no upfront capital. Your vendor secures financing, delivers the project, and manages operations, maintenance, and performance verification across a 10–20 year term — with a goal of cash-flow-neutral or positive outcomes. Engagement starts with a Project Development Audit— no obligation to proceed if meaningful savings aren't found.
This solution is best for Members with large portfolios, Members with campus settings with a central utility plant, complex projects (~$500K+), medium-to-large buildings (10,000+ sq ft) with high energy spend, and capital constraints.
