Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Building Decarbonization Roadmap?
Our flagship planning product, the Building Decarbonization Roadmap, is a tailored, building-by-building strategy designed around your organization's facilities, finances, and priorities. Built with nonprofits in mind, the BDR is intentionally priced as a low-cost initial planning tool, making decarbonization planning cost-accessible to mission-driven organizations. We work directly with your team to assess existing systems, model electrification and efficiency pathways, sequence projects in a logical order and align the plan with available incentives and capital planning cycles.
Who is the Building Decarbonization Roadmap best for?
BDR is best for nonprofits and other mission-driven organizations that want an affordable, comprehensive first step toward decarbonization planning.
What is the Cliamte Leaders Municipal Decarbonization Roadmap?
Designed specifically for Massachusetts municipalities and funded by the MA Department of Energy Resources (DOER), the Climate Leaders Municipal Decarbonization Roadmap equips cities and towns with a comprehensive strategy to decarbonize both their municipal building portfolio and their municipal fleet. From public safety vehicles to the facilities they serve, PowerOptions can help municipalities find cost savings through electrification. Our expertise working with public-sector Members across Massachusetts is why we were competitively selected by DOER to develop these decarbonization roadmaps. We help municipal leaders build a credible, fundable plan that aligns with state climate goals.
Who is the Climate Leaders Municipal Decarbonization Roadmap best for?
This roadmap option is best for Massachusetts municipalities ready to lead on climate action across buildings and fleet with a fully funded planning engagement. Entities not funded by the MA DOER are not eligible for this roadmap.
What is the Portfolio Prioritization Plan?
PPP is an option PowerOption offers in partnership with Mass Save to deliver Portfolio Prioritization Plans. Through that partnership, we can serve any portfolio owner in Eversource or National Grid territory at no cost to eligible building owners. The Portfolio Prioritization Plan is designed for organizations managing multiple buildings that need help deciding where to decarbonize first. We holistically analyze your portfolio through on-site assessments, identify the highest-impact opportunities and give you a clear picture of which buildings and measures should lead the way.
Who is the Portfolio Prioritization Plan best for?
This option is suitable for portfolio owners served by Eversource or National Grid who want to make smart, data-driven decisions about where to invest first and seek to have improvements fully funded through Mass Save.
